How StarrScout handles personal information

This notice explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and what choices people have when they use StarrScout.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the StarrScout website, waitlist, user accounts, match-upload workflows, public highlight feed, and related communications operated by Zyntria Labs.

It is designed for the current launch stage of the product and may be updated as features, vendors, or jurisdictions evolve.

2. Information We Collect

  • Waitlist data, such as name, email address, role, scouting region, organization type, primary goal, player positions, referral code, and referral relationships.
  • Account and profile data, such as name, email address, role, session identifiers, IP address, and user agent information used for authentication and security.
  • User content, including match footage, generated highlights, captions, comments, and other content a user uploads or chooses to publish.
  • Product and analytics data, such as page interactions, traffic patterns, device and browser information, and service performance information.
  • Communications data, including support requests, partnership inquiries, and any information sent to us by email or contact forms.

3. How We Use Information

  • To operate the waitlist, qualification flow, referral queue, and early-access communications.
  • To create and secure accounts, manage sessions, prevent abuse, and investigate suspicious activity.
  • To process match footage, generate analysis, produce highlights, and display user-selected public content.
  • To improve reliability, product design, and feature performance.
  • To respond to support, privacy, legal, and commercial inquiries.
  • To comply with applicable law, enforce our terms, and protect the rights, safety, and integrity of the platform.

4. Public Content And Visibility

StarrScout includes a public highlight feed. If a user chooses to publish content, that content may become visible to other users and to the public, including captions, highlight media, and certain profile identifiers attached to the post.

Users should avoid publishing information they do not want to make public. We may remove or limit public content that violates our Terms or creates safety, rights, or compliance concerns.

5. Uploads, Rights, And Youth Footage

Anyone uploading match footage is responsible for ensuring they have the right to upload, analyze, and share that footage, including any necessary permissions from clubs, leagues, venues, players, or guardians.

If footage includes minors or youth teams, the uploader must ensure that all legally required notices, consents, or other permissions have been obtained before submission. We may remove content or restrict accounts where rights or child-safety concerns arise.

6. Cookies, Sessions, And Analytics

StarrScout uses session-related technologies to keep users signed in, secure authenticated areas, and maintain core site functionality. We may also use privacy-conscious analytics and similar technologies to understand traffic and improve the service.

For more detail, see our Cookie Policy.

7. Sharing

  • With infrastructure, hosting, analytics, authentication, storage, and processing providers that help us operate the service.
  • With other users or the public when a user chooses to publish content or interact in public areas of the platform.
  • When necessary to comply with law, enforce agreements, respond to claims, or protect users, rights holders, and the platform.
  • In connection with a financing, merger, acquisition, restructuring, or asset transfer, subject to appropriate confidentiality and continuity safeguards.

8. Retention

We keep information for as long as it is reasonably necessary to operate StarrScout, maintain security, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data and whether the content is tied to an active account, waitlist entry, support request, or legal obligation.

9. Your Choices

  • You can contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information, subject to legal and operational limits.
  • You can stop promotional emails by using the unsubscribe option where available or by contacting us directly.
  • If you published content publicly, some copies, logs, or backups may persist for a limited period even after removal requests.

10. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information. However, no internet or storage system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
